Where & When

We are located at the Banchory Legion Scotland, Ravenswood Country Club, Ramsay Rd, Banchory, Aberdeenshire, AB31 5TS, where we are now building our own self-contained premises below the main Legion premises (see here)

Opening Hours / Meetings

We’re open as follows:

Social meetings – Coffee, tea and a good blether are had every Tuesday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 or thereabouts. Open to anyone.

We also get out and about from time to time – for example cycling or walking – and these meets will be posted on our Facebook page.

Business Meetings – are held monthly on the second Thursday of alternate (odd-numbered) months – January, March, May, July, September, November (check Facebook for any changes), starting at 2:00 p.m. and continuing until circa 3 to 4 p.m., when we discuss any matters around the running of the Banchory Shed – untik Phase 2 is complete these will be upstairs in the area next to the ballroom; updates will be posted. Business meetings are also open to anyone.

Occasionally, business that needs discussion between monthly meetings is discussed before the weekly Social meeting, generally from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30, arranged by word of mouth or our Facebook page.

Building the Shed – we are now in the building phase for our own premises – converting the undercroft and garage areas into our social and workshop facilities – and there is plenty of opportunity to come along and help with this work.  Phase 1 is complete; phase 2 is to start imminently – see here for details and watch our Facebook page for updates.

Future opening hours – Whilst for now we are retaining the basic Tuesday morning hours during the life of the Phase 1 combined social/workshop area, our meeting times will eventually change into whatever opening hours we can establish – when that happens we will update this website and our Facebook page accordingly.

Community Projects – The Men’s Shed is also active in and around the Banchory community, helping where we can – you can read about some of the projects we have been involved with on our News page.  Again, watch our Facebook page.
